What amount of memory installed?
Are there Windows 7 drivers listed on the manufacturer website for the laptop?
Do you have recovery DVDs (for recovering to factory default)?

I suggest leaving it as it is because it's not an easy process, especially if not finding the right drivers.
Then, when running 32 bit Windows, if 8 GB installed, only 4 GB of RAM can be used.
I guess there are some updates for the games. Try googling for them.
Try also running the games in compatibility mode (right click, properties, compatibility and choose Win XP or Win 7).
