HI, i have an old computer with Geforce 8800 GT with a 1gig memory, but now my Vista 64 bit computer have installed DirectX 11, which my card does NOT support, and i would like to know how to get rid of DirectX 11 of my Vista (which i understand should only have DirectX 10), preferably without having to completely wipe my computer and install everything again

There is no need to remove it. DX11 as well as previous version of DX are backward compatible with the previous generations.

i thought so too, but was told it could interfere with some games, and was told on a Rome 2 forum to remove it since it might be why i am still experiencing crashes with patch 2, but now how remove/convert back to a DirectX version my card accepts
