Hey gang! This will be my first build in over a decade so I guess all my previous knowledge goes out the window.
FIrst , Wow this site has alot of great info that i have taken advantage of. reading the best budget guides has led me to the conclusion that the fx-4350 is probably the best cpu on my budget..
But my question is will a low end game system / htpc really need all that power.. I intend to run 4 gigs of 1600mhz ram and use onboard video until i can afford a high end graphic card.. Also Im using a 7600rpm Sata HD (if that effects anything these days) Would I be better off without the l3 cache? I know its great for gaming but would something like a8-5600k be a more price efficient APU for my build.. Im looking to spend about 200$ US. on the the mobo , cpu , ram and case. and any money i can save on the cpu will go towards better components. thanks for reading and any real world experience you might provide.. benchmark test are great but when you have been out of the loop as long as i have it can be kind of overwhelming taking a gamble off a data sheet.

Solution
If you are going to spend the money on a FX-4350, get the FX-6300 instead. It as more cores, is slightly more powerful, and is considering AMD's flagship gaming CPU at the present time. The APUs by AMD are not all that good, the integrated video is really only good enough for very light games. Also, using 4 way memory isn't really recommended, it's far more cost-effective to just use 2 modules in dual channel. Here's an AMD build that I threw together for you, using the four parts you wanted.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($109.99 @ Amazon)

Also be sure to keep in mind that you are the one that's going to be seeing the case all the time so you should pick out your own case depending on aesthetics and needs.
