Hey guys, I built a new computer the specs are

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card

Now before I installed the drivers I changed resolution to the highest and it looked great, filled up the screen! Then I installed the GPU drivers and it had to restart, and when it restarts the resolution is the same but it looks smaller on my monitor. And when I go online it says I am running off the AMD on board GPU, and not the Sapphire.

Any help?

Your motherboard does not have onboard graphics.
And chances are you couldn't reach your monitors native resolution with the standard VESA drivers where you could go higher with the proper drivers.

Now it detects my GPU, but it still has a weird image. It is at the resolution I want, but it doesnt fill up the screen. It filled up the screen perfect before I installed the GPU drivers

I have an Asus VE248H 24.0" Monitor

You will need to set the GPU scaling. I can't say where in the CCC as I have not used AMD/ATI GPU's in over a year but it is there somewhere just look around. You need to set it so it fills the screen.

Are you using VGA, DVI or something else?
