Hello,

I have some questions on what the best models would be to sli 760's. I was under the impression that the dominant card is always the one with the lower specs.

For example If I have a 760 with 2gb of ram with a base clock of 980mhz and another with 4 gb of ram and a base clock of 1085mhz. Will my total ram be 2gb and have a common base clock of 980mhz?

I have also heard a rumour that generally cards with a higher base clock are a better BIN or quality and can handle overclocking better.

Lastly, since if I do sli two 760's I will not plan on upgrading the video cards for a few years. Will a 2gb card be sufficient of should I purchase two 4gb models.
I was thinking of two http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-276...

Or two http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

Sorry for the ramble, any help is appreciated.

Was looking to play B4 on ultra plus future proof for about 2 years. It recommends 3gb of VRAM which seems a bit excessive..

If you have the money to get two 760s why not just get one 690? it'll be good for 3 years

Hell yeah it's excessive, 2gb should not be bad at all!

There is a $300 difference between two 760's at $300 and one 690 for $995+. Plus I can stagger the purchases for the 760's. I am noticing that there are some 7970's that are in that $300 per card range but I am not really a fan of AMD.
