Hi, well I was looking to purchase a copy of windows 7 for my self built pc while looking for the cheapest option I came across a copy of windows 7 ultimate on eBay that says dell on the disc the seller has got good feedback and the says that the installation disc is containing the full 64bit version of Windows 7 ultimate with SP1. (Not an upgrade version). And will install on self built or custom built unbranded machines. So will this work on my pc? My friend has it installed on his self built pc with an asus motherboard and has no problems.

That is not a legal purchase.
If you read the fine print at the bottom
"AS PER EBAY RULES ON OEM SOFTWARE "Original equipment manufacturer (OEM), bundled, or recovery software, is included with the purchase of new computer hardware. It is eBay policy that sellers can't list these types of software unless they are selling it with the original hardware." THE ORIGINAL MACHINE IS INCLUDED IN THE SALE.
please arrange to collect computer"

You are actually buying a defunct/damaged/broken Dell PC. And an OS that went with it.
It may 'work', but this is a scam. MS can deactivate that key at any time. And they have done so before.
