I just finished assembling my loop and I am currently leak testing and bleeding the air out. I am having an issue where every time I turn the pump off, air flows back up into the radiator. This happens when the cap is on or off. When the pump is off, the water level in the reservoir is completely full, when the pump is running it is about 3/4 full. I attempted filling it completely while the pump is running but the water wont go into the res, it just sits in the filling tube. The attached picture has the filling tube circled in red, you can also see that I attached a coupling so that I could take the line higher than the radiator but it didn't make a difference. The two black circles are where the air escapes when the pump is powered off.

What can I do to prevent the air from filling the radiator when I turn the pump off?

Thanks for your help.

Bleeding air out is finicky, you have to get a bit rough with the machine.

Try shaking or angling the rig in different direction while the pump is running, turning the pump on/off quickly and if it has a speed adjustment twiddling with that. If your case allows, might even be a good idea to put your case upside down or lay on different sides to get that air out.

Is it possible for you to move your reservoir below the pump? Or is the pump set on the bottom of the case? Can you upload a picture of your setup so we can see what you're working with? Your original post has a link that is not viewable.
