I've tried looking it up and I can't find out how to get Vegas Pro to load videos encoded by DivX... There were videos saying to download a new aviplug.dll to replace with the existing one and it will work but it didn't for me. I've tried many codecs and DviX is the only one that gives me 30FPS on my recordings, keeps file sizes small, and doesn't give me much stuttering in game. Any help please? Thanks!

Yes, I am trying to import a DivX file into Vegas. I haven't tried re-encoding it, because if there's a way I can do it without having to spend that time I'd prefer that option. If you can link any codecs that work with Vegas that you know are really good I'd be happy to try them (to encode the video live with DXtory, not re-encode). My 1TB HDD has a write speed of 115MB/s, (where I'm saving the video) and I have a 2600K at 4.614GHz. The only game I'm recording right now is Minecraft. I've tried Cinepak, Lagarith, and XVID MPEG 4 all to no avail.

I understand wanting to avoid re-encoding videos if at all possible. Evidently, from what I have read, Vegas 12 does not like (support) DivX files. You might want to check out this link: http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/956905
It has a suggestion to use x264vfw codec which is available here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/x264vfw/
Let me know if that doesn't work.

I'm using FRAPS now and it is working fine. I like DXTory better, but considering FRAPS is the only thing I can get to work I'll use it until I can fix DXTory. Thank you for your help though I appreciate it!!
