GTA V on PS3 or Xbox 360?

A little back story, I've had my xbox for about 4 years, about two years before the slim version came out. Recently I purchased a PS3 that is on the old side, model is a CECHL01 80gig console. I have noticed some freezing on the PS3 when playing games. I think it was primarily with The Last of Us and God of War Ascension. With that I am wondering which console I should play GTA V on. I like what I have seen so far with the PS3 for the game play videos but I am nervous I am going to get the game, start playing and then the console die and im stuck with a beautiful game but no console to play it on.

Any thoughts? Im leaning towards the 360. I wish Sony would enable backwards compatibility.

Do you have your XboX now or not anymore. Before XboX and PS3 worked well with every game with HIGH FPS but now games need stronger machines to work on (witch consoles cant give). I think that you should go with PS3 because GTA V has special version where you can buy PS3 with GTA V limited Edition so i guess that its probably better optimized with PS3 plus PS3 is a bit stronger than XboX (and you dont need to pay the fee) Go with PS3 you are not going to get disappointed.

I do still have a 360. I currently own both consoles. I just want to make sure that I don't have any problems and get some good playing time out of GTAV.

Aside from the Ps3 bundle what kind of exclusives or content is going to be going to the PS3 over the 360? Im not really one that worries too much about all the extras. I dont buy much DLC.

Well, this is an easy one for me: get it on the console your friends will be getting it on! GTA 5's multiplayer looks pretty nice, so you'd want to play with your friends as most as possible. Judging from GTA 4's performances, you won't see any notable differences performance-wise between the 2 versions (not with the naked eyes, anyway).

You wouldn't want to get stuck with the PS3 version if they all had the Xbox version, or vice versa.

Lol, you crazy frendless gamers...

I don't think it's fair to draw comparisons to GTA 4. I mean, that came out like in what... 08? Both consoles were still in their infancy, and optimization were still pretty iffy, especially with the PS3. And on top of that, back then the 360 had a considerable edge in install base (moreso than now), so it is in the realm of possibilities that less devotion was placed on the PS3 version (or maybe port; who knows?).

If controllers are all the same to you, and this is bothering you so much, I'd wait for the reviews to see if there's a big gap. I wouldn't think so, but you never know.
