Hey all, so my old mother board died on me and I needed to get a new one. Unfortunately the store didn't have one that fit my processor (i7-920/1366 socket. I said screw it and just bought a new mobo and processor ( Fx-8350/MSI 970A-g46). I understand that re-installation of windows was going to be necessary however i'm having an issue where the pc boots up, i briefly see the MSI splash page and then i get this blue screen with all this information about my computer before I installed the new mobo and processor. I get things like License information, erasure information, system hardware information.

I don't know how I proceed from here. I can't pull up BIOS, I can't boot windows installation from dvd. I'm kind of just stuck here.

Thank you so much for the info. It kinda blows that I have to find an older processor just to update my bios. Do you think Tiger Direct would be willing to help me with my current situation? Since the mobo/processor is new and they are unwilling to help me, am I jerk for just returning them both and getting my money back from them and just get Intel stuff from Microcenter haha?

Tigerdirect might charge you for return shipping.
You could contact Tigerdirect support, and let them know of the situation. They might help you out.

I would try to find a local store help you. They would be glad to let you borrow a CPU. I would ask them, and see how much they charge.
