I have got a new screen, which graphics card would run this LG 29" 2560 x 1080 screen, with hdmi 1.4 & audio through hdmi, I currently have a gt630 but haven't tried it yet, I know it will work, however, is there a better card that will easily handle hi resolutions and is reasonably future proof.

If you are not playing fast action games, then even integrated graphics should work; your GT650 should be ok.
Why not try what you have? You can then better assess what you might need if anything.
