I bought a new pc with a amd fx 8350, 8 gigs ram, on a gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 mobo, and two gtx 760 in sli... with a single ssd 128g. My old PC is a amd athlon II x2 250,2 gigs ram,on a gigabyte mobo, and a single PNY gtx 560 ti with one seagate 500gb . on the new pc is win 7 professional, and the old pc is win7 home premium. As all my old games and music is on my old hard drive is there a way I can put the old HDD and put it in my new computer? I really would love to just put old one in and have it work for holding all my games / music. and the new ssd on the new computer just have the win7 pro on it . But i know i got to do something cause the ssd is 128 gb, and after the win7 pro and updates.. theres only 86 gbleft. that will only bee like 2maybe 3 games ...

Solution
You can ceratinly put your old hard drive in to your new PC as a second drive just for storage, but you will have to re-install any games or applications that are on it on account of the fact that the Windows Registry knows nothing about them so they won't work. Re-installing them puts the required keys and other information into the Registry, then they will work.

There is no way to avoid having to do that.
