Hello there, I'm sure you know that I am attempting to build my first PC, so here's a few screenshots of what's sitting in my baskets from a few websites. The purpose of this computer will be for gaming and videoing. Any help will go a long way. Also feel free to suggest cheaper alternatives because I know that this price for a first build is quite pricey (in my eyes) so if you can help me bring down the price it'll be very much appreciated. Other than that will this build work?

This is just my opinion, think that you should go with a Haswell Cpu since its newer technology and maybe a HD 7950 3GB since you will be playing games. The HD 7950 is very cheap and that extra GB of vram will most likely come in handy in the future. and go with an XFX 550W 600 is more than you will need. and it doesnt seem you will be overclocking so a Z77 chipset is a bit useless

I feel like one day I will want to overclock it, but I guess it's not completely necessary starting out. Thank you I'll have a look at these prices.

Okay here's my new build on comments from you guys, apart from I've changed my disk drive now. Are there any more suggestions, it's still pushing over 1,000. I'm probably wanting a lot for my budget, but who doesn't? So any tips or even other UK retailers I can look at would be awesome.
