Hi,

I left my computer for a while and when i came back the screen was showing weird coloured lines (not sure how to explain them) and my computer was frozen. i restarted my computer, and it took about 15 seconds to get to the splash screen where it then hung for another 30 before telling me to insert a boot device.

i have a 120Gb SSD to boot from and a 500Gb HDD, only the HDD shows in the BIOS.

Thank you for any help

I installed new drivers for my graphics card a few days ago so i have removed the graphics card but it made no difference.

My boot order is correct and when i boot from the repair disk it says it cannot repair the problem.

Hope this helps

Just noticed that SSD does NOT show in BIOS.
However the green light on the SSD is on.

Did you make sure the SSD cables are connected correctly?

You also could try to hook the SSD up to another SATA port and see if it turns up in the BIOS.

EDIT: Also, if you have any partitioning or backup tool booatable CD or something like this, try to boot from this and see if those tools recognize your SSD.

I think you right:(
The weird thing is the green light on the SSD is still on as though its ok, there supposed to be a red one on it if it breaks i think.
I haven't had it a year yet so i should be able to send it back and for a new one.

Thanks for your help
