Intel Smart Response Technology will work in mine X220 laptop with QM67 chipset?
The idea is to add a mSATA small SSD to speed up the onboard HDD, without needing to reinstall anything.
Other options than SRT?

Solution
Yes, SRT is part of the RST driver; but that doesn't mean that SRT will work. But give it a shot anyway and see what happens.

You don't create an actual RAID array to enable SRT, you change your SATA ports to RAID mode.

Thnks. Problem is I don't have a second drive bay, so need to use mSATA for the SSD cache.
I can't find any other solution, I was thinking about Nivelo Dataplex but work only on specific SSD, none of them is mSATA.

Do you have any other idea? I really don't know how to proceed.

Sorry, but I couldn't find any mSATA drives that work as a cache drive without Intel SRT.

You only option appears to be buying a large capacity SSD to replace your HDD.
A couple of examples are the 960GB Crucial M500 or the 1TB Samsung 840 EVO.

After further research appear that QM67 support SRT

It's part of Rapid Storage Technology. I also find Lenovo driver for RST.

I will try to open BIOS to look at the different options, my only concern it's about the need to configure a RAID...something I never do. I also hope the configuration of the cache will be easy.
