GPU Mobo Combo for Less Than $500?

Looking at a new gaming build and I have the majority of the parts sorted bar my mobo and GPU. The rest of the build is i5 4670 Haswell, 8Gb Ripjaws, XFX Core Edn 750W, Seagate 1TB. So I wanted to come under budget and so I have $471 left. There is no going over this, I have stretched my budget enough as it is. Any ideas/ suggestions? I'm not going to overclock the GPU, maybe the CPU when it gets a bit old, but not in the near future. I'm thinking about SLI/Crossfiring at some point around then too, but for the time being the rig will stay pretty much as-is. Performance is paramount, I'd like to play Crysis 3 on fairly high graphics and still get a decent FPS. I'm running a single monitor 1920x1080. It's ambitious, but thats what I'm aiming for. Don't really care if it's Radeon or Nvidia.
So as a rule, don't go over $500! I live in Australia so of you could use reference prices (RRP) that would be great! :)
Thanks

*Edit: things cost more here so assume a budget of a bit over $400, maybe $425 max. Cheers*

If you plan to overclock you would need a K series processor, which is $50 more.... Go with this AMD build since it is in your budget and can play crysis 3 on high settings :)

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz 8-Core Processor ($239.00 @ Mwave Australia)
Motherboard: ASRock 970 EXTREME4 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($127.01 @ Mwave Australia)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card ($305.00 @ Mwave Australia)
Total: $671.01

That looks awesome! Not a lot of people use AMD though, is there any reasons for it, or is it sort of like an apple thing, where people go for them "just cos"?

this is what i would get, no OC, but by the time u need an OC to keep up with GPU upgrades it will be time for a whole new system anyways

Well you can't speak until you own one ;). The FX 8350 is pretty much the same as an i5 4670k, and better than the i5 stock. The problem is the 4570 can't overclock but the 8350 can. If you wanted to overclock with the i5 then you would exceed your budget by $50 AUD. Also the 8350 is great for any kind of editing especially video. The reason a lot of people use intel is because a while back AMD came up with a terrible Bulldozer series, but their new Vishera line up is just as good as the new i5 3570k, so the i5 4670k is only a little bit better, but for $50 more and no overclocking capability I wouldn't go for it. If however you don't want to overclock you should go for a Xeon build.

Hope this helped :)

What sort of performance boost could you get over the base 4.0GHz by overclocking? What would be a good aftermarket CPU cooler as well?

Well you could probably go to around 5.0Ghz. A good aftermarket cooler would be the hyper 212 evo, or if you want more performance a Noctua-DH 14.

Wow.
Would a decent motherboard be needed if I was to OC? Rather than a cheapish ASrock? (No offence to ASrock)
This one looks good:

Worth $200? Thanks for the help so far :)
