Question about bottlenecks

Hey guys, wasn't sure if this should have been placed here or in the games section but(let me know for future reference if you don't mind), here we go. Thank you all in advance for your help!

I have recently converted to the PC platform for the next generation of gaming... seeing the designs on the new consoles, I wasn't convinced of them having proper cooling to avoid another Xbox 360 type situation. Anyways, I built a PC and the experience has been great so far, but playing BF3 I noticed that whether I have my settings maxed out(which I expect the graphics card I have to handle just fine, correct me if I'm wrong) or them turned down to the lowest, I only really see maybe a 5 FPS difference. I am getting ~35-40 on Ultra and ~40-45 on Low. To me this says I have a bottleneck somewhere, the question is where?

My specs:

MSI 760GM-P34 760G Chipset
AMD FX-6300
EVGA GeForce GTX 760 SuperClocked ACX 2GB GDDR5
8GB DDR3 SDRAM - Unsure of brand, it's running at 1333
1TB HDD 7200 RPM - Again, not sure of the brand
Raidmax 535 Watt Modular PSU

get rid of Raidmax 535 Watt Modular PSU

i think because of its quality, it cant provide enough juice for your build
thus the whole system will throttled down....

i hope it will not die soon

I agree with the above. Theoretically, the PSU should have enough power, but it is poor quality. One way to check this is to see the frequencies of your CPU/GPU during gaming. If they are not running at full speed, then this is certainly the problem. In any case, I think I would upgrade it to a better one for safety and quality. Good brands are corsair, seasonic, antec and XFX. Hope this helps!

Hey Guys! Thanks for the fast replies, I'll definitely switch out the PSU if it's not reliable. I got it because it had good reviews on Newegg. That being said, PrecisionX and Task Manager have the GPU and CPU running at where they are supposed to be during gaming sessions(tested this with windowed mode on BF3 multiplayer a minute ago). A few follow up questions if you don't mind.

1. If I overclock the 6300 am I going to need to look at aftermarket cooling solutions?
2. If I had a buyer for my Mobo/CPU would it be worth it to upgrade them
3. If so, and keeping in mind BF4 is the main game I will be playing in the near future, what do you guys recommend? (I am willing to jump to the Intel side if the Extra cash will be worth it)

see the thing is its not about intel or amd..its about the CPU and their performances..like you can use a hyper evo 212 and oc 6300 ..to some extent..it will give the benefit... and the system requiremnt for BF4 is not very much different from BF3...slightly higher..
now in your case you have a decent GPU and a good CPU(dont underestimate fx 6300..its a good cpu for the price)... so just overclock your CPU and you are good to go..
incase yo have decided to change the CPU..rather go for FX 8*** maybe 8350..overclocking 8350 will turn your pc into a excellent gaming rig. and it will be worth the upgrade...that being said if you switch to intel you wil need to change the mobo also....

An update for those interested! Beware Raidmax! The PSU died today. I had already ordered a corsair anyways though, hopefully it's here before the BF4 beta starts.
