Hey there ladies and gentlemen,

Well I have thought long and hard on what GPU to put into my next build and it all boils down to the Vapor X-7950 over the GTX 760, and I would very much appreciate your thoughts.

They are pretty similar prices; I can pick up the 7950 for £215 and the asus 760 for £214, of course you can get +/- on the prices but only by a little so cant be bothered to screw around with that nonsense.

It may help to note that I am planning on running with the AMD FX-8300, over the new intel I5-4670k simply because its a nice price (~£20 less) and its better with streaming games, editing videos etc with all those lovely 8 cores.

So, what are your thoughts? Anyone who has the 760 or the 7950 who can get me out of this rut?

Thanks in advance ! :)

+1 for 760 because it is newer series. It means 760 will get more driver updates which will increase FPS. 7950 will get old in about month.
+1 for 760 because advanced psyhx. AMD also has psyhx but it is done by cpu and it isn't advanced (looks worse).

Thanks guys for all your help, really appreciate it and especially the like to the 7970! All the 7970s that I have seen were around the £280+ mark, and for £240, it seems like a steal.

Do you all think that the 7970 beats the 760? And I would assume its better to stay with the AMD-AMD cpu to gpu rather than AMD-Nvidia (intel)...

Much appreciated!
