Hi folks,

I apologize if I post this in the wrong section, since I have few questions for different parts, I thought Components would be the right section for it.
------

I'm thinking about upgrading my PC during Black Friday sales and I have few pieces in mind I would like to purchase. I was wondering if I could lay out all the parts and have the veterans take a look and any suggestions are welcome, if you think it is fine the way it is, that would be perfect as well :).

My Current PC

Processor: i5 3570k
GPU: GTX460
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
Overclock: 4.0GHz
Power Supply: Corsair TX650w
RAM: 12GB
Fans: Regular Air fans
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 (Dual Monitor)
SSD: None
Liquid Cooling: None
------

[Going to be] Upgrade Version:

Processor: i5 3570k
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme 4
Overclock: None (Yet)
Power Supply: Corsair AX/HX750w 80-PLUS Platinum/Gold
RAM: 12GB
Fans: Regular Air fans
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 (Dual Monitor)
SSD: OCZ Vertext 4 256GB OR Samsung 840 Pro 256GB
Liquid Cooling: Definitely need suggestion for this one, beginner with Liquid Cooling, so I don't need the expensive stuff just yet, perhaps just something works well and worth the buck.

Any suggestions or advice are welcome!

Thank You,

XS

Thanks AMD Radeon!

Another question for my GPU.

I'm looking at Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce and I saw 2 version of them, one is 2GB and the other is 4GB.
2GB-$375 & 4GB-$460. It's almost a $100 gap.

Now the question is... is it worth the $100 for the 2GB?

Thanks!

1. A GTX770 will be happy with a 575w psu. Defer that upgrade. And... gold/platinum will not save you enough energy to pay for the price premium.
2gb vs 4gb is not worth much:

2. 240gb ssd is very good. It will make everything you do feel much quicker.
I would pick the Samsung EVO. The pro is not worth it for the extra endurance. Either will be long obsolete before you use them up.
And... in a desktop environment, you can't tell the performance difference.

3. I would avoid liquid coolers. They are noisy, expensive, less reliable, and don't cool any better than a good air cooler.
Check out these pics of liquid cooler leaks:

Thank You both AMD Radeon and geofelt!

I will stick witht he 2GB GTX 770 then!

As for liquid cooler, what would be a good air cooler in place of liquid cooler, granted, I don't have much experience with liquid cooler, so if a good air cooler could take place of a liquid cooler for a beginner in this department, that would be great! Any suggestions?

Thanks!
