So,

I am building a system with the help of a mate,
I have a ASRock 990FX Extreme3 AMD 990FX (Socket AM3+) DDR3 ATX Motherboard
but i want to use a
EVGA GeForce GTX 650 SC 1024MB PCI-Express Graphics Card (01G-P4-2652-KR)
graphics card with it...

Is this possible??

If not, can someone please help and advise what graphics cards are best to use for a similar sort of money.

Thanks!

For sure! It's gonna run at it's potential as well. Might be worth it to get the 2GB version: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130831, but it's about $30 more. If you have to stick at that $100 price point, I'm sure you'll be fine with the 650 1GB.

Cheers!
