I was wondering how to format an Acer Aspire One back to factory settings without a disc or recovery partition? I can't find any built in program or setting like in my regular laptops that lets me factory reset, and maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place but I'm pretty sure this netbook doesn't have a recovery partition. I do have the product key though, it's on a sticker on the bottom of the netbook.
This netbook is really slow and I think it may have a virus or some form of malware, so I planned to install malwarebytes to clean it out and then do the format. I heard that it's necessary to do that sometimes to prevent the recovery from reinstalling the virus with the OS, is that true?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
