I would have to disagree with this while i think the Fx-6300 is alright, the MSI motherboards for this series are just junk (no pun intended), i would have to suggest a AM3+ ASUS, ASROCK, or GIGABYTE board. Click here for more options. The Asus Sabertooth would be my opinion just because there good for OCing, and stay cool, and are very durable.

Hope this helps a little bit.

as kirilmathew has said budget is key there!! However, off the bat I wouldn't be going for an AMD system. If it's for gaming an intel system is better and will give you more FPS, and less power consumption.

I'd suggest any Z77/Z87 mobo, with an I5 3350p/3470/3570/3570k or I5 4670/4670k, overall in gaming the intel chips offer better single core performance, which is key in games right now. On top of that a quad core Intel as mentioned above, will yield better results in most things than any AMD system, except perhaps where application multithread comes into play where an AMD 8350 or above may surpass the intel chips.

Yet, i have to disagree with you again there, the i5 may be superior in the 4 core vs. 4 core area, but the pile-driver in the agriculture in the fx-8350 will far out preform an i5 even at an overclocked speed, only because of one important fact that got failed to be mentioned. As you use more and more of the 4 cores or 8350, or it just simply becomes to much for the first cores to handle, the second set of 4 core kicks in causing a "performance boost or a buffer" for your games. This pile-driver in the agriculture has the ability to have the power of 8 cores compressed into 4, in order to make the smoother game-play rate. I watched a video on it on Newegg from AMD direct rep, i know what i am talking about here. Besides that fact the i5 alone is 210.00+, and the z87 motherboard is 300.00+, how is this cheaper then a 199.00 processor that is higher overclock-able and the base speed is 4.0 GHz, along with a motherboard that is 189.99 dollars (at most, and meant for gaming)? You save almost $100 dollars just in parts alone.
