Hi everyone I'm new here and have a question. I bought some Hynix RAM off of Ebay for my Dell Latitude E 5400 but have not payed for it yet, had to put some money on Paypal account. While waiting for money to be transferred to my account I decided to do some investigating on the ram I had bought thinking maybe it was to good to be true that I had scored two 2gb PC2-6400 800MHz SODIMM's for $30. I looked at the picture provided for the item and the sticker on the ram reads as HYMP125S64CP8-S6 AB which is the designation for 2gb modules. But when I zoom in on the image and look at the code on the chips they read as HY5PS1G831C and it seems that that code is the designation for 1GB density modules. Not sure if I am missing something or mixed up on this but could someone let me know if I am right or wrong on this. The seller has relisted another item just like the one I bought and I provided a link to that so you can see for yourself. Any help would be appreciated please, Thanks in advance.

it is common practise to use stock pictures of ram of the same type as is being sold, but perhaps not exactly the same. So ASK THE SELLER for the number as it appears on the ram that he is selling. I say again, ebay will support you if it is advertised as 2GB but turns out to be 1GB, you will get a refund.

The only other part of the second number that I can see that I left out is
FP-S6 and 904E. So it would be HY5PS1G831C FP-S6
Would you know if that is for the 1gb or 2gb module. Or does that FP-S6 or 904E help any. Thanks for your response.
