No Signal after "Setup is Loading Files"

I am trying to install Windows 7 Home Premium x64 from a brand new disk I just purchased from Newegg. This is an OEM disk, but I don't think that matters, except that I don't get MS support.

When I try to boot from the disk, it goes through the "setup is loading files" and then the screen goes blank and I get the "no signal" message on my monitor. The monitor works fine because I have another HDD with Windows already installed on it, and I can boot into that with no problem. I have that HDD disconnected when I try to install on the new HDD.

So, what it looks like to me, the monitor is going to no signal just like it does if I run at a resolution that is too high in a game, but that's not the case with the Windows install screen.

My PC:
Gigabyte ma770-ud3
AMD Phenom II x4
ATI Radeon 5770
6 GB (2GBx3) G.Skill 1066 DDR(purchased in 2010, not sure which series)
2x Seagate Barracuda 7200
ViewSonic VX2025wm

Thanks in advance for any help you may have for me.

Try installing with only two sticks. Ram will sometimes cause the stoppage during the installation, but will be fine after the installation. Your system is dual-channel meaning that you should install in pairs. The 3rd stick may be giving it a problem during installation.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot and let you know how it goes.

I took out the extra stick and booted it up from the disk again, but it did the same thing.
When I first installed Win7 on this machine, I only had the 2 sticks of RAM, so I was hoping that would help. I bought the 3rd stick a few months later and added it.

Any other ideas?

Try it with only one stick at a time until you've gone through all three.
Also, make sure that you don't have any extra USB devices plugged-in anywhere.

Disconnect one of the Seagate hard drives.

Also, if your motherboard has an on-board video card, use that for installation, and remove the ATI Radeon card from the motherboard until after Windows completes.

No dice. There is no onboard video, so I can't remove the card. I tried with each stick of RAM by itself and still got the same thing. The only USB items still plugged in are the keyboard and mouse. Tried with just one HDD at a time and swapped them out.

I'm starting to wonder if there might be a setting that got messed up in the BIOS, but I don't see anything in there that could be the problem.

Ok, I've tried everything I can think of. I formatted the HDD from another PC, I tried 3 different monitors, I completely disassembled the PC and put it all back together, making sure everything was connected properly. In almost 20 years of working with computers, I've never seen this happen without being able to track down the issue.
I may be looking into building a newer system.
