TV/Monitor won't recognize my computer anymore

Hi,

I've recently ran into a problem with my TV, computer, and monitor. I recently moved and at my last place I used my TV as my one and only monitor. When setting up everything at my new place, the TV doesn't seem to recognize my computer anymore. The TV just shows "no signal." I have the TV connected through a DVI cable with a DVI to HDMI adapter on the end.

I've tried hooking the computer up to my old non-widscreen monitor, but it also displays "no signal" and goes to sleep right away. I've also tried pulling the video card out and re-seating it in the motherboard. I've also tried moving it to the other PCI-E slot. No luck with either of those. I have tried hitting the delete key and tab key on start-up to enter the BIOS and POST screens, but that didn't work either.

I'm assuming my problem is two-fold. The old monitor can't display in 1080 resolution and so won't work with the settings that were in the computer when it was last turned off. The other problem is the computer won't recognize the TV for whatever reason. Any help would be much appreciated. I'm trying to avoid buying a new video card, and/or anything else to get this fixed.

Motherboard- Asus M4N72-E
Video card- EVGA GTX 285

Solution
you have to test you card in another system also check if all the power cable on the gpu are plug in correctly since you move the system .

Tested the video card in my NAS system. It works fine and the monitor displays properly. I had disconnected and reconnected the power cords earlier when I tried a different slot in my main computer. I'm at a loss.

Thanks for the help.

the other option is to check the cable between pc and monitor if it work on the nas and have signal if everything work i would try to test motherboard with a older card ,if you have negative result then could be time for a new motherboard .also check if the bios is up to date in the system .

I took a chance and reset the bios using the jumper on the motherboard. It's back up and running, but I still don't know what caused the problem.

I appreciate the help, thanks!
