New PC No Internet HELP PLZ

I just connected my pc and I cant get it to connect to the internet . My Ethernet cable is plugged into my router and nothing . I went and downloaded all everything from the manufactures website and put it on a USB but still cannot get it to connect. I am beyond frustrated because I didn't even think this should be a problem.

This is my MOBO Asus P8Z77-VLK

Please help. What else can I do or what have I done wrong ? If anything how should I restart and do everything over.?

Side note I have all the folders unzipped on my desktop and not completely sure what to click on to install. I have the Realtek Ethernet Diagnostic Utility Installed.

It's down a little further in that list, called: Intel Chipset Driver V9.3.0.1021 for Windows 8 32bit & Win8 64bit--- (WHQL).

That is the windows 8 version, it will have the same name 'intel chipset driver' under the windows 7 drop down as well.

I downloaded everything besides the manuals from the websites and nothing. I had a few explanation marks under device manager but now I only have two so im doing something right but just cant remove it from Ethernet driver and psi something.

Ethernet Controller doesn't have a driver .
SM Bus Controller doest have a driver

That's what im dealing with and have no idea what else to download and I took your advice and uninstalled everything and re did it and im still at the same point. Can it be issues with my MOBO? hope not.

Just to be double sure:

If you are running windows 8, you want this page: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LK/#support_Download_36
and scroll down to where it says 'LAN', and download Realtek LAN Driver V8.3.730.2012 for Windows Win8 32bit & Win8 64bit---(WHQL). Run the file.

If you are running windows 7 you want this page: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LK/#support_Download_30
and same thing, down to 'LAN' and download Realtek LAN Driver V8.3.730.2012 for Windows Win7 32bit & Win8 64bit---(WHQL), then run the file.

Sorry if you have already done this, I just want to make sure.

finally got it working thanks for all the help. the issue i had was i dowloaded i think to be just the tool kit so i dowloaded the one under. i still have the sm bus driver that needs attention what is that for to be exact and do i need it ?

is there a certain one i should download ? i recently just dowloaded the most recent one and it didnt correct the issue. i downloaded the top one extracted it on my desktop and ran the programs. could it be in a different folder ?

thanks for your prompt replys and help man really appreciate it i thought the files were the same and to just download the latest ones. This is the first pc i built.
