Well you can't upgrade to the new haswell, but most 3.gen will fit fine 
as long as the socket is LGA115

Hey, thanks for the reply, do you mean that I can not upgrade to the Nvidia cards? I must continue with AMD, if so I am happy to do so. I am thinking of picking up a 7970 when the new 8xxx series comes out, and 7xxx cards are likely to be on sale.
Oh sorry for tha last reply, i hce misunderstood you and read wrong i thought you were looking for a new CPU... but well it looks like you Motherboard supports PCI-E 3.0 16x, which is the port most new GPU's are using, so that should be fine
but i'm not sure about your PSU, do you know which one you have and if it has a free 4pin.
