not sure if you are a chart guy but http://www.hwcompare.com/12506/geforce-gtx-670-vs-radeon-hd-7950-3gb/ imo the 7950 will have more vram but the gtx 670 does take the lead in some setting's. what games are you going to play?
Those sort of benchmarks don't help when comparing cards of different architectures. They help when comparing cards like the 7870 and 7850, which have the same architecture, but not when comparing completely different cards. This is due to the fact that architectures perform differently, and rarely scale linearly against one another.
OP, it really depends on the price and how you plan to operate the card. The 670 is a much better "plug and play" card compared to the 7950, but it does cost more. The 7950 when Oced moderately typically outperforms or matches the 670, even when the 670 is highly overclocked (Comparing a 1.2GHZ 7950 to a 1.3GHZ 670).
Performance wise, I'd say 670 (But, to be honest, it would be a safer bet to go for a 760 due to it being newer and basically the same), but if you want a lower price and you are willing to overclock it, the 7950 is a pretty safe bet too. It also depends on whether you want to get multiple cards to perform together (SLI in my opinion is much much better than Crossfire)
