isotropic alcohol or just alcohol ?? cleaning for watercooling

I think a lot of people say to get above 90% alcohol (I think the reason was it evaporates faster and/or leaves less residue?) CVS usually sells 2 types i think, about 85% and 90%, and I think the price difference is about 50 cents. Regardless, I got a 90% bottle and it worked fine for the multitude of times I messed up applying my thermal compound and had to clean the mess up. My cpu seems to think so as well

As in vodka or whiskey? No. :p The reason people use isopropyl alcohol is because it's pure and naturally sterilized, using something less pure stands the risk of introducing and/or not removing bacteria, which will give you a headache later.
