Good Evening. I have a question regarding my GPU and my CPU. I don't know which one is making my computer shut off, but I'm quite sure its one of the two. I overclocked both of them to safe standards and I always check the temperature and it's always at a safe low range of 30 to 40's C. Can anyone give me some options of what to look at?

Solution
Check if your GPU can handle the games that you are playing.
Get a Game Booster to close everything running at background.
Plz post some more details.

Is it just shutting down as if you puled the plug? Or is it crashing, freezing or BSoD?

If the former then it could be the PSU, as it was for me a while back. Anytime i used a demanding application (i.e. a game) the PC just shutdown.

can you post your PC specs? it would help a lot :)

are the 30 to 40s celsius temperatures produced by your GPU? or CPU? and are those the temperatures when you are under full load? (for CPU, you can run a quick stress test to put it under full load or you can run BF3 if you have it, as that game will use the CPU quite intensively; for GPU, you can run BF3 or another graphics intensive game. you can also use a benchmark utility of some sort to find your max GPU temps.)

your specs along with the load temperatures are going to tell us if it's either the GPU, CPU or neither.
