My new build - 3 6990 / complete EK water cooling, Maximus IV / AMD / 8gb / Antec 1200 case. The 6990's use 2 8 pins each. Is there a single PSU that can fit my needs or do I have to rework the case to handle 2 PSU's?

3 6990?! I know that a 6990 is a 2 6970 GPU solution. Only 2 of them is THE LIMIT.

For the PSU. A Corsair AX 1200i supports alot of cables. Check some reviews about it.

Thanks! I checked out the PS and it has 6 x 6+2 so that will power 3 cards. Why do you say that 2 are "the limit"? I am using motherboard (ASROCK X58 EX6) with 3 pcie 16s. This is not for crossfirex hookup - this is a coining system and each card works independently.

A two 6990 is already 4 6970. Motherboards only supports 4 cards.

So 2 6990 = 4 6970.

And instead of a 6990 how about a 7990. Or 2 7970 ( one 7990 )

Yes. Thank you for the enlightenment. I already have the 6990's but also have 5850's and 7870's so now, another case ... and on.... ad on! Thanks again, it's a better idea.
