if i want wireless intenet in my custom pc, does this item work?

oh, you didn't say which direction the 15 meters was in :) In that case (a floor or wall separating you from the router) you might want to get something a bit better (with antennae) or else your signal reception could be pretty bad with a little guy like that.
Something like this, while costing a bit more, will make a pretty big difference:

thanks, the thing is... even though its actually 5 meters away, (if you count it as how far it is going from my room to upstairs where the router is, its i'd say 25 meters) if i want to run a cable then it should go outside my window and inside my 2nd floor window... never heard about a ethernet cable that is rain resistant :p unless i cover it on duck tape or something... but that will be another day. thanks!
