Hey guys,

I've owned a pair of Turtle Beach x11's and after a couple of years they've come to the end of their life so i'm looking for a replacement.

Since xbox i've been converted to PC gaming but I do occasionally play xbox still so i'm looking for a pair that can be used with both.

My budget is around £100 it can be slightly higher/lower as long as it's worth it.

Thanks guys!

I have the Astro A40s. I know they're above your budget, but after years of going with mid-ranged headphones, I decided to try out the high end, and I love them - they're extremely well built, and provide good quality sound. The best part, though, is that they come with incredible service.

When working with kids at my residency, I walked out of the room for a minute while letting them play a game on my computer. When I came back, one of them had somehow managed to snap my headphones apart, breaking wires in the process. I emailed Astro, explaining what happened but not expecting anything. Instead they had me photograph the damage and send them the headset - then proceeded to re-wire it and send it back to me, almost indistinguishable from new... a year after I bought the things.

Thanks for the reply, yes i've been looking at the astros but like you said, they are really far out of my price range, if only i had another £100 lying around :(

You can buy the Astros themselves without the mixamp though, you know that, right? It'll knock a lot of money off the price.
They'll work just fine, and you'll end up saving money in the long run because you won't have to buy a new headset for a long time.
