800 series NVIDIA

Solution
nVidia annouced the Maxwell(800-series) to launch Q1 2014 in September 2010, or at least that is what Wikipedia says. It seems to be pretty accurate as most sources seem to agree upon this(did i Google search).

The 800 series is supposed to be the big one. The 200 series was new, 300 series was a rebadge, 400 series was new, 500 series was mainly a slightly improved rebadge, 600 series was something new, 700 series is mostly a rebadge, the 800 series will be something new and the 900 series will be mostly a rebadge.

That depends. If TMSC is cleared and ready for production, we could see the 20nm architecture in the Maxwell-series. As of today, that is unlikely, but we can´t really be sure.

Nvidia next generation gpu, maxwell should offer big performance jump since maxwell (800 series?) will be moving to TSMC 20nm node. There is big performance gap between 680 and 780 because nvidia was not using their top of the line chip with 680. Usually when new generation comes without new architecture and new process node the performance increment were small but with (like 400 series to 500 series) but with 600 series nvidia did not use their fastest chip for 680. Instead the best kepler chip were put into 700 flagship.

That was early prediction. In the end it depends when TSMC will be ready with their next process node. From the latest news i heard not too long ago TSMC's 20nm will only be ready at second half of 2014. So actual product might come out late Q3 or Q4 next year
