Hi,

I have just replaced my hard drive as the old one failed completely, Is there any way I can re install windows with out having to buy it again as it was pre loaded on the lap top. I also have my product key.

Also how would I go about sorting the wi fi on the computer out

No it did not come with any was all pre loaded. I have managed to install a newwindows 7 and use my pass key to run it all so now just need to work on sorting the wi fi and other bits out if youcan help

My lap top is a Packard Bell Easy Note TS11HR. I do have another working lap top, would it be possible to down load the things needed on this and then transfer them over to the other one.

I have just rang Packard bell and they want to charge me £51.00 for a recovery disk !!

Yes, that's a good plan. If you have trouble finding the drivers, maybe this will help:

You need the wireless LAN driver for your Windows OS.

Thank you for your reply, I have managed to down load most drivers and am now using the said lap top (yipeee) but two are proving difficult they the base system device and Ethernet controller. Could you point me in the right direction or do I actually need these at all.

Then you can get away with not having the ethernet controller. Not sure what the other one is. But as long as everything is running fine for you, don't worry about it. If something isn't working down the road, come back and try to reinstall the problem drivers.

Thank you for your help....cant actually believe ive managed to sort it all out myself and how do I do a back up of the system so if it goes again I don't have to re do it all again
