Hello, I have Geforce gtx 460 1GB, triple core amd processor and 4 GB ram. Installed Blacklist 2 hours ago and for the last 2 hours i'm trying unsuccessfully to make the game run without lagging.
I tried using a "patch v2" and tried also to turn off all of the special settings like "Ambient Occlusion" and "Parallax Mapping". I also updated my video card drivers to the last version (320.20). Nothing works. The game is working in a very low FPS. I can't really play the game like this. I'm working with 1680x1050 resolution (The optimal for my screen).
Please help. Thanks !

What is your average FPS? What does it usually stay at? Occasional dips are to be expected. Also.. Which CPU are you using specifically? Splinter Cell Blacklist appears to run just fine on a GTX 460 SE which is weaker than your card. You could have a virus of some kind that is spiking your CPU, GPU, and/or RAM. Check all of that out with the task manager and msi afterburner.

Thanks for your help but the problem is not solved yet. some points :
1. As I said, the avarage FPS is very low, you can't really play the game like this, it's horrible. Every mouse movement causes lots of lags.
2. I have the latest version of DirectX, i also tried to use DX9 in the game but it does not help.
3. My video card' manufacturer is Gigabyte and the drivers located in their website are the Nvidia drivers.
4. My Processor is AMD Phenom 2 X3 720 2.8 GHZ and as you can see in the pic i attached, the processor is on 1% right now. I also check tempratures with Everest and the GPU shows 43c right now and around 60c when i'm playing the game.

I would really appreciate your help.

that might be your issue your power supply has 2 12v rails at 20 amps per rail and your video card requires a single 12v rail with 25 amps or greater most likely your issue out of everything that you have listed and said. Even tho the power supply it self is decent just the dual 12v rails screwed you

First, Thank you very much for your help !
Actually my power supply is 4 months old. Is there a way to fix this problem without buying a new power supply ? Maybe there is some combination i can do to make it give this 25 amps ? (cause i would really like to avoid this purchase if it is not 100% necessary)
Thanks.

P.S
1. I just checked and my video card is actually GV-N460OC-768I (the 768MB version and not the 1GB one). here is the link to my video card : http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3531#ov
2. I also checked here http://www.seasonicusa.com/M12II-Bronze.htm and it's written that my version (the 620W) gives 24A for the 12v rails (and the 520W gives this 20A).

Update :
I just opened my video card case from the closet and found these two adapters. I have such connections (the white ones) in my power supply. May it help ? Right now the video card is connected to the PSU with two black things coming from the power supply (like the black things in this pic).
These are the adapters :

Thanks.

you can always try, I personally wouldn't recommend molex to pci-i but if you can manage to get it stable go for it won't hurt. If you still are unstable you might want to invest in a single 12v rail psu with 30+ amps

I m going to try it. Thank you.
Is there a way to check voltage/amper stability with a software or something to see if it helped ?

Hello. I tried to use the molex adapters. It doesn't help.
I just took a picture of the usage of my components when i'm playing the game (on low preferences).
As you can see the GPU Load is about 36% and the CPU is about 95% (and i also noticed it's at 100% most of the time i'm playing. on idle it's about 1%) and the CPU temp is about 68C-70C while playing (and around 43-44 on idle).
Do you think it's a CPU problem ? When you play, how much CPU usage do you see ?

Thanks.

Your processor is a tad bit hot but not hot enough that it would throttle, so I would say maybe run everything at stock clocks, re-apply your compound, and also it still looks like your gpu is the problem my usage is around 96-100% gpu usage in-game. I would still aim towards a power supply issue. did you buy any of your components used?

Again, thank you for your prompt answer.
None of my components is used.
Are you sure that my psu has 2 of 20A 12v rails ? cause in their website its written that mine (the 620w version) has 2x24A rails (and only the 520w has 2x20A).
This is the address : http://www.seasonicusa.com/M12II-Bronze.htm
This is the specs, i circled mine :

Thanks.

Yeah, I was looking at the wrong on, but the thing is with 2 12v rails it still can cause problems since you still are just hardly at the right spot for amps, another issue could be that your gpu isn't quite so great for the game if you look at these benchmarks and tell me if you get around the same http://www.techspot.com/review/706-splinter-cell-blacklist-benchmarks/page2.html and this was a quote of what they said about cpu's that they tested with Finally, we know that many of you will be interested in CPU scaling performance as well, so we clocked the Core i7-4770K and FX-8350 processors at several frequencies to see what kind of impact this has on performance when using a GTX Titan with the ultra-quality preset. Additionally, we ran similar tests using a range of processors including the Core i7-3960X, i5-3570K, i3-3220 and AMD Phenom II X6 1100T.

Hello ! I must update you guys that the game is working absolutely great now. I decided to open my computer case and clean up all the huge amounts of dust i found there. I used this air pressure thing and lots of dust came out of there. Now When I'm playing the game my CPU temperature is not above 43C and motherboard is around 52C (before this clean i had 68 and 78 for the CPU and the motherboard).
The game is working like a charm now ! (on 1050x1080 + everything is on high + DX11 !!!)
Thank you very much everyone ! Especially eatmypie that helped a lot and also made me open up the computer and see the large amounts of dust.
