No, my external IP changes when using my router. Not going to say whole thing, but it goes: 68.36.***.** Linksys Router; 56.(something).**.** Comcast.
If I can't get two IP addresses, how can I set up the second router as an Access Point to share the IP with a different SSID?
Right. Your external address from Comcast, 68.36.xxx.xxx is the one and only address you get from them.
That can and does change. Unless you are trying to run a server from home, that doesn't matter.
Internally, you have a router. SSID of "Ninja". You could, have a secondary router depending off that first one, on another subnet, with an SSID of "Kid-12345"
They (and all devices) will share the entirety of the bandwidth you get from Comcast.
For instance, If your service plan is 10Mbps down/2Mbps up....that is all you get. Shared between all devices in your house.
The only way to get 'more' is to pay Comcast for a faster service plan, or pay Comcast for a whole other connection.
Another router does not increase the speed of the pipe from the curb to the house.
