Saw a couple similar threads and tried to make some information on what to do but each one looked very specific to person. Could use some help with mine.

Basically, my laptop can connect to any wifi spot anywhere except for my home network.

Please let me know if there is any other help I can give.

P.S. I've troubleshooted all basic fixes like restarting modem and restarting laptop. And my laptop is a Lenovo Y570.

Thanks!

Looks like your router isn't giving out IP addresses via DHCP.

Try running ipconfig /renew or assigning a static IP address to see if you get network access that way.

If you can access the network when assigning a static IP then it's simply your router hassling you

So I tried the ipconfig /renew and it just says it could not be performed because all the media was disconnected. I'm not sure how to assign a static ip?
