need help with internet connection

I'm planning on building a desktop pc in the next 2 months or so and I've managed to solve all my issues except that I don't have an Ethernet connection in my room. All I have is wifi,(and not very good wifi), I was wondering what the easiest and cheapest way to solve this would be.

Either

1. Get an ethernet cable long enough to route to your room however you see fit from your router (probably cheapest and easiest)
2. Upgrade your router/PC adapter (probably what i would do as it will benfit everyone in the house, but will cost the most)
3. Setup a wireless repeater (kind of a band-aid solution)
