Memory Clocking Question

So I have a question for memory people. I have a 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3-2133 set currently installed in my PC but I'm only running it at 1600 right now. In the BIOS, I can change the speed up to 2133, but is there any other settings I need to change in order to not BSOD or crash/malfunction? I think last time I set it to 2133, it would BSOD often, but after I switched it back to 1600, it's perfect. Any help clocking it up to it's max speed? My motherboard DOES support 2133 DDR3 memory.

What mobo/CPU? Mobo may say it supports 2133 but if AMD, some of the FX CPUs can run 2133 but not alot of them, and if Intel can be the same (basically any K model CPU can run 2133, but then again, if not a K many can't)

I have an i5 3570k and an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4, but I think I fixed it. CPU-Z shows my memory running at 1066MHz so I'm good. Thanks anyways.
