Hey forum,
Now i'm gonna need some help. Just as a side note I have a moderate amount of pc knowledge.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Christmas 2013
BUDGET RANGE: 700$ Really just looking for cheap, but good replacement for my gtx 570

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming such as bf3 and bf4 ultra settings, crysis 3, grid 2. Also I mostly browse internet and watch lots of youtube on it.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: Current GPU: Asus GTX 570 OC Link: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7280370&Sku=A455-0574

Current PSU: OCZ 750w Link: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1393382&Sku=O261-0704

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: p8z68 asus mobo, i7 2700k, 16GB corsair memory.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I prefer ncix and newegg, but really just looking at a specs comparison and opinions

PARTS PREFERENCES: Not looking for a reference card with stock cooler, but still open to opinions and advice with the references.

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Yes

MONITOR RESOLUTION: I have a 1920x1080p monitor and will have an extra 720p monitor

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I've heard that nvidia runs better with games that use openGL and it runs better with intel, again don't know if that's true. I've also been told i'm crazy to buy them around christmas because it's too close to next gen. Also the 8000 series might come out in a few months so might look into them. Please no fanboys just helpful insight and advice. I'm not really looking at a price to performance ratio I just want the better of them. Also, would 7970 or gtx 770 be better to look at? I would please like some help with them too if it would be better to just go a step up seeing at the 7970 is at the 760 price point. Also if you do recommend either I might need some help with choosing which make(MSI, Asus, EVGA, etc.) is better. Thanks in advace for any help, insight, opinions and advice. Also, if any other links for my pc are needed I can supply them.

I see the 760 has some substantial headway over the 7950, Which brand would you find the best for the 760? MSI twin frozr? asus? gigabyte? evga atx?

If you were going to display only one minotor, i would go for the gtx 760 sli, as sli is much more better than crossfire. HOwever, from what i understood, you will be having 2 monitors on your pc, which needs more vram. You can buy the 4gb version of the 760 though, but i think it will be more expensive than the 2 gb( by 60$), but we must not forget that the crossfire has a lot of issues. In my opinion, it would be more reasonable to get a single card that may have decreased performance than sli or cfX, but this seems to be the most suitable solution. If you need to search for a single card, just say to me.

he won't be gaming on twp monitors given the disparate resolutions and I dont think anyone would game with fat black line from bezels in center of field of view. The extra monitor in this case is generally used to display ab browser or media player window which will have no impact on VRAM.

The MSI and Giga has the edge in outta the box speed ... only one that I avoid is the EVGA SC series.
