I used to have a - DEL 24 inches 1920 X 1200, for many years. That was an IPS panel, LCD monitor.
I recently bought LG IPS237 LED 23inch Monitor (not sure if it is really 23 or less in practice).
I have had it for over half a year now, and to be honest, I am not impressed, these are my concerns:
it feels significantly smaller than my old DEL.
colors are not strong, deep, full and intense enough.
brightness seems too weak. same with contrast.
response time, I don't really understand exact numbers, but it doesn't seem that fluid in gaming (and I have a heavy gaming rig).

When I moved to a LED monitor, I was hoping for ultra vivid colors, that will flash out of the monitor, amazing brightness, backlight, super-fast response times, true black and true white, etc..

Is my monitor decent/good/very good/bad for gaming? have I made the wrong pick?
Please recommend me of the best monitors for gaming, rate your favorite, and explain why
.
(I am ready to swap this monitor, I'll find other use for it).

I have a Dell ips and a Asus gaming monitor. The TN panel on the gaming monitor doesn't have as good colors but it's fast. ..2ms response time. That makes fps gaming on it much better.

Thanks, but can you please give me a little bit more details or links, maybe there are better newer models?

Also, will it be possible to dual-monitor with a different company/model (just curious)?
and what's your opinions about my monitor?

I will appreciate more responses, I need to make hard consideration here.

I do miss the richness of my Dell for fps gaming, but the speed of a 2ms TN panel is enough to make up for it. I'm kinda surprised that your LG IPS237 is underperforming. It is IPS monitor and has a listed 5ms (GTG) response time. I really think that is a sweet spot for monitors. IPS + 5ms = perfect. I really like your LG monitor. I'm not sure why its not to so good.

You can do dual monitors but I wouldn't advise it unless the monitors are the same. Height, color, and more would feel weird. It's best to get the same monitors if you want multiple gaming. Also, you need 3 monitors for proper gaming, not 2.

I'm giving you a website that I love for monitor reviews and learning..http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews.htm

can anyone please recommend some more models? I would appreciate links and exact names..
Of course I am looking for good LED monitors, and preferably, new and advance models, with the best contrast, backlight, colors, response time etc for gaming.

Since, I am not planning on buying every next sunday, and since I really need only one, and since I put a lot of effort and resources on my current rig and I want to have a worthy LED gaming pc monitor: I'd say - unlimited budget.
I really look for the best monitors for gaming. monitors lasts for quite a while, and colors, response times, brightness - those things can make a world of difference in gaming. I simply don't want to be disappointed again like I was with my LG IPS237 (again its not that bad, just not "great")
So please help me pick the best one, will appreciate some options, since I don't know what will I find or not here.

I'm using an XL2720T from BenQ. It's a 27" class 120Hz monitor. I took a tape to it, and while the viewable area is not quite 27", the remote for toggling between game profiles, the easy height and angle adjustment, and the two usb ports on the side definitely make it awesome.

$399 on amazon right now.
