Hi all,
i was just wondering what temperature my computer should be running when it is under a stress test?
i have:
Nvidia GTX 250
intel Q6600 quad core @2.4ghz
2x 2gb DDR 2
gigabyte EP35-DS3L

i was wondering this because i have a antec 900 case i have the fans set to high all the time and im not sure if i can turn them down.. because i dont want to open my computer all the time to turn fans up/down when im playing a game.

i would also like to know what program i can use to find out temps and a stress testing program :)

thanks all

This to check temps.

Ussuall OK CPU temps are around 15 20º higher then your room temperature, so if its 30º inside your room, 45º CPU does not seem to hot, even in a used system, if the thermal paste is new and the case is dust free, it woudnt go much hihger. I think we can say the same about the GPU.

Check temps and report back, and we can tell you how they look.

ok my cpu temp is:
Cpu1: 34 celsius
cpu2: 36 celsius
cpu0: 38 celsius
my gpu temp is: 44 celsius
Room temp is around: 20 degrees celsius and usually a "hot" day would be 30ish celsius
and what is cpu1,cpu2,cpu0? i assume cores? which one is the cpu itself?
oh and one more thing.. sorry. my cpu is actually 2.4ghz not 3.4ghz*
thanks :D

ps: this is without any load/stress my computer is idle.
