I have a hp E9220F and It came with an atheros wireless LAN pci card.

I installed a nvidia 550ti a while back and when I tried to boot initially I would get a black screen with green bar on the top. I finally got it to work normally by removing the wireless card and I have been living with it like that.

Now I need wireless and I picked up a radion 6750, thinking it was a compatiblity issue with nvidia or something. I am having the same issue. Has anyone seen this, is there a solution?

Thank you

yeah, the system works fine without the wifi card in. I have tried a usb wireless card and it installs correctly but system says there is a driver error and does not show a wireless connection available.
I have tried the wifi card in all of the pci slots. The radeon card did not have an additional 6 pin connector like the nvidia card did that I was removing. I will stick with whichever card I can get to work.

Ok, here is an update. I took out the video card and moved the wifi card to each of the 3 pci slots. It works in slot 1 and had the same black screen in the other 2 slots.

So here is a new question now. is this the sign of a bad mobo? Can I get a new Wifi card and install it into a new slot?

I think this is going to need to be moved a the motherboard section. Maybe someone here can help. I decided to return the radeon video card and try a new wificard and low and behold the same thing happens. I install the card into slots 2 and 3 and get black screen with green on the top directly after I go though the the raid loader. Is this an indicator that my mb is indeed bad but only at the pci x slots 2 and 3? I would use the working open pci-x slot 1 but my video card cover it up when installed. Please help. Thank you
