Okay so I'm currently using a cheap USB flash drive as extra storage for my XBox 360, but the write speeds on it are terrible and it's incredibly chunky.

What I'm looking for is a good alternative that's as fast as possible, but also as slim as possible, as I'd really like to connect it to the USB port on the back of the console (original non-slim 360), which a lot of the best performing sticks I'm familiar with are definitely not suitable for as many are also designed to be rugged, which means incredibly chunky.

Anyway, I'd appreciate some recommendations on the fastest USB flash drives I can get that aren't too much larger than the USB port itself. I don't remember what the limit on capacity is for a 360 USB drive, but I think 16gb is plenty.

Thanks for the suggestion; I actually have one of these as a backup of my 1password keychain and various other important files, yes I'm paranoid but if my house burns down I'll be the smart one, you'll see! Ahem. Anyway, while it's a fantastic little drive for neatness, it's actually a pretty slow drive (19mb/sec read and 9mb/sec write), which is why I'm not using one with my xbox already :(

Really I'm hoping for something a bit faster; I've seen usb drives supposedly able to manage 200mb/sec read/write, I don't really need quite that much (since the xbox 360 only use usb 2 anyway) but something faster would be ideal.

[edit] I just measured the available space for the back port on the 360, and it's about 16mm but slightly off-centre, so I'd say I need a thumb drive no wider than about 15mm.
