I'm looking to move my OS to a ssd, but should i just buy a ssd to fit my os and then buy a larger ssd (like 60) to run my games out of. Is there any performance when seperating the ssds? Or should I just buy a larger 120 or 200ish gb and put everything on it?

edit- I care about the speed for the os specifically

Solution
Buy a single SSD large enough to hold the os and whatever else you want to put on it.
1. Larger ssd's tend to be faster, they have more nand chips that can be accessed in parallel.
2. Larger ssd will have better longevity
3. It is easier to manage one pool of space than two separate ones.
If your budget permits, get 240gb. It will hold the os and a good number of games.

Keep that ssd under 80% full and you will be very happy.

Seems pretty unanimous, go for a singe drive as large as you can afford comfortably. The Samsung 840 EVO 250GB would also be my choice. An SSD really accelerates the OS and opening programs that reside on it. For me, SSDs are like cell phones, don't know how I got by without 'em. :)
