I am trying to buy a graphics card for my computer. I have a 530 watt power supply with 25a 12 volt rails and a little less than 12 inches of space in the case. I want to get a high end GPU for my system and I am not interested in over clocking or crossfire/SLI. I am mostly torn between these: 2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... The sapphire card has a $100 rebate and 3 free games, whereas the Evga just comes with Batman, which I am don't think I will play very often. I want to know which is the best card for value and performance and if I meet the requirements for these cards. If not, what kind of cards I should be looking at.

Your PSU won't be strong enough for the GTX 770. The GTX 770 is faster at stock, which is nice if you're not going to overclock. However, at that price I would definitely go with the 7970, that's a screamin deal. AMD is really bringing down prices to make sales, so take advantage!

I heard that it is possible to use 2 PSU's one PC. If I dedicated one PSU to the motherboard and one to the GPU, would it be powerful enough to hand a 7970?

Hi - As ACTechy said above, you need more +12v amps than 25 for either card. You can run your system
with 30 +12v amps with a 7970, but need at least 38 +12v amps for the gtx770. So, you need to upgrade your
PSU for either card. The gtx770 is also $120 more than the 7970.

Once you resolve your PSU issue, you need to make sure the card you select will fit in your case.
That 7970 is over 11" long.

I would not attempt to use more than one PSU in a system. It's alot more complicated than connecting
one to the mobo and another to the GPU.

What brand/model is your PSU, It must not be a true 530w if it has only
25 +12v amps(300w) on the rail.

Agree you need to change out that PSU it will not run either card period.

As for the GPU I would go for the 7970 it is a kick as GPU.

Its a Raidmax Hybrid 2 RX-530SS. If this PSU won't handle a 7970, what kind of card should I be looking at?

Ah, you got a BAD PSU, Raidmax is a bottom feeder. Assuming it can deliver 25 +12v amps, you could run a 650ti or a
7870 in tha system.

Plz see PSU tier list below: Raidmax tier 5 -
Tier 5 - Other than the units listed above for any of these brands, NOT RECOMMENDED. Replace ASAP if you have one.
