Xbox and monitors, terrible looking resoultion

Hi guys, so I just bought an xbox 360 today and gta 5. I have a terrible TV so I'm setting it up on my monitor through an HDMI cable. This is the monitor I'm using http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009222 When I'm in game the resolution looks terrible... I checked in the xbox options and it is on 1080p. I checked on the monitor options and its set to 1920 x 1080 and 60hz. I'm very lost on why it looks grainy and out of focus. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

Well you know xbox almost 8 years old in terms of hardware and on top of that consoles 720p ish upscaled to 1080p so its not even native 1080p output and from the vids i saw GTA 5 looks horrible on consoles. Best thing i would do is wait for the ps4/pc version. Higher resolution/framerates/ all the bells and whistles you want and of course MODS :)
