I have studied on things I have missed in the computer world from the past 7+ years and am currently building a budget system to game/produce games-videos-render etc.

I have read the intel's can be faster in the gaming category but have also read the FX will stream games better which intrigued me... so I was wondering since the FX is priced nice @ 200$ would this be a good choice or will i need something the i7 will provide that I am missing besides shaving off a few minutes on 1mil calculations+... if that makes sense :p

Also need suggestions on my build as it is in need of major help I am sure.

BUDGET: 700-800$

GOAL: Gaming machine / Possible to do anything. render, create games, video edit, etc. Try to lower cost where it can be while not hurting performance.

Notes: I realize a nice system needs like 16gb/32gb of mid to high end ram for this but for the budget lets just go 8gb for now.

Build/ Template so far.

AMD FX 8350 - 200$

MOBO: This is rough for me since most I like are 150+ but as of right now.
ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS - 189.99$

GPU - HIS H777FN1G Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16
HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support (( Really no clue on gpus its where i get stuck ALOT because of things I don't understand or know ... like tons of different 7850 brands but which is better??

PSU - RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply, New - 69.99$

RAM - G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR2 - 87.99$

HDD - Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - 79.99$

Heatsink/closed loop water cooler - CORSAIR Hydro Series H100i Water Cooler - (124.99 -25$ off instant savings total to ) --- 99.99$

Grand total so far newegg.com - $812.93

I know the gpu may suck ... don't know why since its so low cost seems like it would not act like a 7770, dunno. Also the CPU/COOLER< -- cannot change due to me wanting to oc this thing to 5.0 even, and that means (i would think) MOBO really matters on which bios helps with oc'ing?????

I don't know you have my info now correct me :D PROS !!!! :D

Thanks in advance.

I forgot to say the huge cooler I chose I would really like to keep. It will be much needed for the 5.0ghz OC I plan to do at a stable 60c or so....

I like some suggestions but I am wondering ... it seems like your using a site to do the work for you .... wouldn't there be a sure fire way to show THE BEST choice every time and not come up with different answers from the same site? or not?

SO FAR!!!! thanks to blackbird for some great options!!!

Also

NO CASE!!

NO DVD DRIVE!! :D:D
