I built a pc on my own
i5 @ 3 ghz,4 gb RAM,Asus Nvidia GTX 650 Ti 1 gb, 500gb seagate barracuda (i think its spelled correct),corsair 650 psu.Win 7 64 bit

Problem:

My pc was good until i installed GTA IV. after a few weeks GTA 4 froze while loading i pressed the restart button windows would go into repair and stay there forever. Made a fresh install of windows & installed GTA 4 again then after few weeks samething only this time i was not able to install windows cuz my hard disk was not detected by windows setup. i used my old xp disc and deleted the partitions in DOS & then installed Win 7. Now whenever i install programs like social club or C++ or some games i get BSOD randomly sometimes the software gets installed sucessfully and sometime i get BSOD. Today when i turnd on my PC froze at starting windows. after that the pc stopped booting, it would simply turn on but nothing appeared on screen. I removed the RAM from thier slots after few mins placed them and turned on the PC now it boots fine. I am confused whether my HDD or RAM is damaged . can some help me??

UPDATE: When i turned on it said NO BOOTABLE DEVICE FOUND: Insert boot disk and press any key ,pressed the restart button and it booted fine but the PC reboots after 5mins..I am really confused if my HDD or RAM is causing this. Someone Plz help ASAP

Solution
download and run seagates diagnostic software so you can get your error code and then send the drive in for warranty repair/replacement

Thew downloads are on the right side of the page

I tried a fresh install of windows using USB stick and ended up with "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x8007045D" during expanding files in set up..tried to install windows using the same usb stick on my laptop and it installed without a problem so there was no problem with the usb. tried running the seatool now and ended up with Finding RAM drive Error reading from drive C: DOS area: general failure.

Checked with seagate and found that my HDD is still under warranty can i go for RMA??
